The TrialWorks development team works hard to record and track all changes made to our software.  Periodically we update our web-database with summaries of changes and post them for our customers.  Please be aware that this page may contain simple developer descriptions of our changes and is designed to simply highlight the important changes in our upgrades.  We do not publish every modification to make our online system more user friendly.

IMPORTANT:  TrialWorks upgrades are collective. This means that the latest version includes all the features published in all previous versions.  Please note that you may need to review the detail pages for several versions if you are more than one upgrade behind.

  • Error in Installation:
    Improve the Termainal Server installation to read correctly in a 64-bit environment
     
  • Error in Reports:
    Correct error in Conflicts Report that caused crashes to Access when last name has an apostrophe.
     
  • Error in Reports:
    Correct error in Contacts Report When printing an individual contact record (the print icon on the bottom of the contacts tab) each field for start time and end time of the call logs shows only #########
     
  • Error in Custom Report Writer:
    Correct Error when exporting a Custom Report to Excel, and the user received an error box "error deleting temp file" although Excel was not open. Hit ok and try again, it works with no error.
     
  • Error in TrialWorks:
    Save Layout Save icon for column resizing is not working. Saves only when switching tabs, not when switching cases.
     
  • Error in Transfer Record:
    Correct spelling error in Header of Transfer Record window
     
  • Error in Negotiations:
    Correct error when sending a note from the Negotiations Tab and the user received an "Overflow" error
     
  • Error in TWMobile:
    Correct error when using offline mode where TrialWorks does not reattach to the offline database.
     
  • Error in Bookmarks:
    Corrected format for OtherSpouseSSNo
     
  • Error in Reports:
    Correct error when report is generated on the Reports > Docket > Calendar Report by Jurisdiction/Venue (with date range). The date field in "Docket Complete Report by county" is printed #######
     
  • Error in Add to Docket:
    Correct error in the Add to Docket detail window from the ribbon where the Assigned TO window is not the active so that the user only has to hit a letter to jump down the list. This same window appears when you right-click on the SOL Field on Clients Send to TWDocket
     
  • Error in Fix Drop Down:
    Correct error when user was using the FIX DROP DOWNS in the Docket Assigned TO and BY. When she cleaned up a user taking a space out in front, it removed all of the users entries.
     
  • Error in Custom Report Writer:
    Corrected error when using the Custom Report - Export to Labels (both clients and contacts). Report is generated but you do not have a print preview ribbon when generated
     
  • Error in Add to Docket:
    Error when using Add to Docket from the Home Ribbon. Complete entry with date, time, assigned to/by, category and description. Click add to Docket, receive prompt to Add to Calendar and get a Outlook TASK entry not a Outlook Calendar/Meeting Request
     
  • Error in Email:
    Correct error with EMAIL from the Home Ribbon when a user would choose a record with Additional Links They are attached TWICE (doubled). It appears you are sending the same file two times.
     
  • Error in Reports:
    Correct error in Docket reports to include the specific date range. Reports were dropping the end date.
     
  • Error in Contacts:
    Correct error when Other Party Attorney was added to the Contacts Tab it no longer added the Party field.
     
  • Error in Other Parties:
    Correct error on Other Parties when case liability type had been selected as defense type.
     
  • Error in Custom Report Writer:
    Correct error in Custom Report Writer when using the ContactsSubType table with other contact related tables.
     
  • Feature in Summation:
    From the Production Tracker Tab added the ability to send a document to Summation
     
  • Feature in Global Docket:
    Create new Global Docket View for Home Ribbon. Global Docket View allows a user to see all case related due dates. Options include a date range, completed, or Assigned TO. Users can change view from list view to Calendar view (similar to Outlook). Report available to Print
     
  • Improvement in Timekeeper:
    Re-order fields so that a user can tab from Task Code to Activity Code
     
  • Improvement in Security:
    Add Billed and Billed Date from Timekeeper to field level security.
     
  • Improvement in Transaction Log:
    Add any create/modify/delete from the Add to Docket from the Home Ribbon to the Transaction Log
     
  • Improvement in Custom Report Writer:
    Add new SOL table to Custom Report Writer. This will allow users to generate a report that include mutliple SOL dates for an individual client rather than just the SOL field shown on the Clients Tab
     
  • Improvement in Installation:
    Improve the installation process when using Setup.exe to repair installations. The PDF/XPG plugin would install each time when running on a 64-bit version of Windows
     
  • Improvement in Summation:
    Improved the current integration with Summation iBlaze to include Summation Enterprise
     
  • Improvement in TrialWorks:
    Add a new resolution compatibility to TrialWorks to include 1152 x 864
     
  • Improvement in Home Ribbon Email:
    Changed the date field when using the Email button from the Home Ribbon to use the date calendar rather than text field.
     
  • Improvement in Task Code Library:
    Previous versions ran a check of the Task Code field and if additional entries appeared they were added to the Task Code. Improve upgrade code to perform a check on the Task Code Library and not to add additional entries. This will assist firms with previously used entries to not be added to the current library
     
  • Improvement in Installation:
    Running a re-installation using the Setup.exe file reinstalls Access Runtime 2007 whether it has been installed or not. Installation will now only install Runtime if Access Runtime 2007 is not found.
     
  • Improvement in More Links:
    Add new security to allevaite the following informational message "Security Notice: A potential security concern has been identified. This location may be unsafe" warning message when opening "More Links".
     
  • Improvement in Security:
    Added the Activity Code in Timekeeper to Field Level Security
     
  • Improvements in Defense:
    Add additional changes to the Case Summary screen to show Injuries from Other Parties for cases with a case liability type marked as Defense
     
  • Informational in Send as PDF Using Adobe:
    Using the Send as PDF Using Adobe from the Short Menu on the documents tab will only work for files supported by PDFMaker Addin. It will not work for .txt or .tif files.
     
  • Suggestion in Configuration Wizard:
    Added option to select level of backward compatibility for replication (2000/2005/2008)
     
  • Suggestion in Email:
    Added to the Email button from the Home Ribbon the ability to filter any type of document, document category or to see all the documents
     
  • Suggestion in Email:
    When using the Email button from the Home Ribbon the user should be able to see what type of document the links contain. Added the document extension to the view.
     
  • Suggestion in Docket:
    Add Date Calculator to the Docket Detail windows
     
  • Suggestion in Global Docket:
    Added to the New Global Docket window the ability to filter by a date range.
